Your first session at Driftwood Counseling in Brookfield, WI, lasts about 50-55 minutes. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, goals, and what brought you to therapy. Future sessions tend to be more conversational and focused on what feels most important to you.

It depends! I generally recommend meeting once a week for the first month as we establish our relationship and build momentum, but scheduling is flexible. We’ll decide together what feels sustainable and supportive!

Most people (myself included!) use the terms interchangeably. Some consider counseling to be shorter-term and more solution-focused, while therapy may be longer-term and explore deeper emotional patterns. I’m trained in both and will tailor our sessions to meet your needs.

We are conveniently located in between Lake Country and Milwaukee. We are only 20 minutes from Delafield/ Pewaukee and 15 minutes from downtown Milwaukee.
